Final Arts Week Update

Alas! the Nunhead Arts Week has come to an end… but before the update ends…  the Film Night was a hoot, and again another event which sold out.  Little Miss Sunshine was enjoyed by all and seemed a perfect arts week film. The Nunhead Walk took local historian Ron Woollacott by surprise, as approx 50 people came along to hear about Nunhead’s history. And finally, the fabulous Nunhead Open 4 exhibition closed, the winners were notified and the artworks were collected. There ends the second Nunhead Arts Week. Watch this space for more Nunhead Community Forum Arts events. Thank you to everyone who supported and enjoyed the variety of events.

Arts Week update 4

We are now just half through Arts Week and it continues to delight and entertain audiences. The folk night was a good one, Southern Tenant Folk Union stole the show, also Paul the Girl was great and The Boycott Coca-Cola Experience went down well too! The Family Reading Group was well attended and the children shared their favourite books with the librarian, and the Classical Concert blew away its audience. Nicola and Paul brought the Royal Opera House to Nunhead, so those of you who did not attend, you missed something amazing!

Arts Week update 3

The Arts Week is going from strength to strength! Yesterday we had a successful older persons day at Nunhead Library - thanks to all the staff at the library who have been very supportive! Also the writers workshop, which was lead by Janina Samoles, inspired our writers so much so that Nunhead may develop it’s own writers group, so watch this space!

Don’t forget tonight is Folk Night at the Old Nun’s Head and the Classical Concert on Thursday! Keep supporting Nunhead Arts Week.
